Thank You Kāpiti

med_Guru_24_Sep_2019_0002_IGRAM_idx56036439.jpg.pngSaturday's election results dragged on and, the longer it took, the more our social media registered the exasperation of some people. But the preliminary results did finally surface. I would like to thank the people of Kāpiti. The people's confidence in giving you a second term is a public vote of support for what was delivered in the first term. I like to thank all the councillors and community board members who made the last term a good and robust one. There are also members of our volunteer community selflessly working through a range of community organisations who make Kāpiti a great place. In my three years as Mayor, I have met so many of you to realise the depth of your commitment to making Kāpiti a better place. You make the job of elected members less onerous. You made my job as Mayor less onerous. Thank you.
